Mărţişorii

A mărţişor is a small object tied to a cord that is woven out of white and and red string and represents the arrival of Spring. In March it is a Romanian tradition for women and girls to receive and wear mărţişori. Ghiocel is the first flower to come up in the Spring and is a common mărţişor.
